Hi! I’m Liz, an architectural designer living in Seattle Washington where I like to create, move, and explore.

I currently reside in Seattle Washington, a mossy, vibrant, and ever-inspiring landscape that I can’t seem to stay away from for very long. I just finished up a 5 year stint at Nelson Treehouse and Supply, a treehouse design-build firm based in Fall City WA that specializes in custom treehouses and treehouse hardware. My 5+ years with Nelson Treehouse further instilled in me a respect for site and the environment, especially in the field of architecture and construction, a world that is constantly at odds with the land. Tree-supported structures allow the rare opportunity to minimize impact while bringing something new into built world.

Before full immersion into the treehouse world I earned a Bachelor of Arch from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Minor in Italian studies (the minor the result of a 9 months stint in Florence Italy). After school I took a quick break to hike the John Muir Trail with a friend (a 220mi chunk of the PCT, covering some of the most scenic landscapes of the high Sierra).

Since leaving Nelson Treehouse in December of 2024 I’ve been helping my dad to design and build a 2,000 sf family cabin in the Methow Valley. So far the building has only consisted of some grueling site work but submit for a building permit soon and to begin work on the foundation this summer. I’ve also carved out time for some non-architecture related endeavors including a 200 mile bikepacking trip through Baja Mexico with my partner Connor, a 200 hr Yoga Teacher training in Guatemala, and some (a lot of) skiing.
